Game Against OFS
Since today was a really long and tiring day ( i just reached home ) i just thought i'll make an entry .....
I've been fighting to get into this team ever since we started training in november i've always dreamed of wearing the first fifteen jerseies and earning myself a place on the starting lineup and I believe ray has given us our chances including today. I think today was the first time we ever tried putting in a mostly J1 team and we did not let everyone down...in the rucks we did manage to maintain possession of the ball although the referee was a real bloody bitch and our backline was rather solid too.
I guess today i played much better than last week i exceeded my expected tackle count ... made my prescence in rucks count and generally played quite a good game.
well improving i guess. The one part of the game that really impressed me was the last 5-10 minutes of the 4th quarter. OFS desperate to win the game in front of their folks were pushing us very hard and pinned us down within our own 22, the referee made any unfavourable calls that just made things worse and we had to withstand an onslaught of penalties given against us. Tackles flew in and we made them count...taking out guys that were charging in... the one particularly impressive one was by leon who lifted the son of a bitch after the tackle...sadly he got sin-bin-ed for it....we all made our tackles and they never breached out line...i can still remember the scene vividly...yeow kuan and justin screaming at us to get moving and cover up the gaps as well as move out and hit the guy ... i just had to keep going...had to prove myself ...my worth...that i came here to play my part in this team...all of the J1s in there played their part...sherman..matthias...danny...and adil's spectacular tackle that ended the game....well yeah the determination of all the players in defending during the last part of the game sort of made me realize part of what being a Rafflesian rugger is about..trial and adversity lie ahead but i know we'll overcome the hurdles that stand before us...with gryphon strength and eagle eye....to lead us to the fore.

Life in JC for the first couple of weeks....
I haven't posted anything in a long while cause life has indeed been tough and tiring but next time i'll try to post more regularly ... and yar get my comments thingie up as well ( thanks for tellin me that there wasn't any mouse ) anyway my class is simply the best....1A01A 2003 is fantastic...i thought the class might be very arty farty but no....they're all very enthusiastic and fun-loving people..not to mention chinese hating....well yar there's tim yap cheechong samuel albert nick brandon phillip frm RI and the 3 of us frm chinese high.. amanda frm scgs..carissa frm mgs ... clara tung rachel n pepper frm nygh... clara ng lynette tze yin liang si frm rgs.... we had our first senior junior class party yesterday night at Jon's house... oh yeah 4got to mention that my senior class rocks too... we dunked jerald in the pool...followed by samuel....heh...on the way up we tried to pour all the ice on hui mun but failed..in a last ditch attempt to get back at hui mun jerald pushed him and hui mun knocked into samuel who slipped and fell into the pool for the second time for the night....woo hoo....... played the drinking water game or whatever u call it.... realized some people haf done some very nasty things.......... so yeah.... shan't mention anymore....

apart from the class...i can say that catching up with training is very tough....the long break and the illness has really taken its toll on my fitness n strength levels so much so that i feel like i am steadily falling out of the race for a place in the first 15...there is still 2 more months and i will try my best to rectify the situation...life's tough well yeah but that's what makes it interesting .... li jing and isaac maybe first choice props but yeah i gotta be ready to step in for any of them if the need arises....just drew up a training programme...gotta follow it.... and yar just eat apples for recess....anyway i betta sign off now there's school tomoro...
